DETECTION OF RECURRENCE AFTER TREATMENT

CT is useful in detection of recurrence after surgery. The CT should be assessed for local, lymphatic, peritoneal and distant recurrence. However, local recurrence in the vaginal vault, cul de sac and bladder base, and peritoneal deposits in the mesentery are difficult to assess in treated patients and special attention must be given to these areas.
