TREATMENT:

Traditionally, osteoid osteomas have been removed by open surgical
excision and placement of bone graft material. However, the draw-
backs of this treatment include a costly hospital stay and disruption of
bone integrity resulting in a prolonged recovery period.

Recent success in treatment of an osteoid osteoma has been demonstrated using a method called, Radiofrequency (RF) Thermal Ablation.
