The Division of Clinical Radiology is responsible for the management and delivery of clinical radiology services; providing educational experiences in imaging and image guided therapy for medical students, residents, fellows, and the medical community; and performing well-designed, high quality research for the purposes of expanding or improving patient care. Services are performed at multiple facilities and institutions and the faculty are responsible for the management of these sites.

 

The division is organized into 8 sections; Abdominal Imaging, Gerneral/Chest, Mammography, Musculoskeletal, Neuroradiology, Nuclear, Pediatric, and Vascular Interventional.

There are three residency programs: Diagnostic Radiology, Nuclear Radiology, and Resident PhD Program. This division also supports fellowship programs in Abdominal Imaging, Mammography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Musculoskeletal, and Vascular Interventional.

 

Within the Department of Radiology there are 47 paid faculty members, 25 adjunct faculty and 20 clinical faculty. Of the paid faculty there are 38 physicians & 9 PhDs. There are 11 professors (7 tenured), 13 associate professors (2 tenured), 18 assistant professors, and 5 instructors. 42 of the faculty are employed full-time and 5 are employed part-time. In addition, there are 10 faculty at the Research Imaging Center who are appointed through the Department of Radiology. Of these, there are 2 physicians & 8 PhDs. There are 3 professors (2 tenured), 3 associate professors (1 tenured), 4 assistant professors, and 2 instructors. All of the faculty members are Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology and ninety-eight percent of the faculty are fellowship trained.
