Program Director: Kedar Chintapalli, M.D.
The program is designed to develop subspecialty radiologists with expertise in
all imaging methods applied to abdomen including performance of percutaneous
bx. The fellowship includes training in Ultrasound, Body CT, and Body
MRI. Fellows will be exposed to a wide range of patients and the disease
and/or injury of all organ systems in both hospital and outpatient environments.
In addition, fellows are exposed to vascular scanning and participate
in image-guided biopsies and other procedures. The fellow will be responsible
for the full-scope of examinations performed. Responsibilities include
teaching residents and involvement in multidisciplinary conferences.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging Fellowship
Program Director: Fadi El-Merhi, M.D.
Fellows will be exposed to a wide range of patients and disease/injury of organ
systems in both inpatient and outpatient environments. The fellows will

examinations. The emphasis is on the chest, breast, abdomen, pelvis,
and the cardiovascular system. Emphasis on understanding of instrumentation
and basic physical principles of MR as applied to imaging.
Mammography Clinical Fellowship
Program Director: Pamela Otto, M.D.
The
Mammography Fellowship offers training in all aspects of Breast Imaging.
Fellows will be exposed to breast ultrasound and interventional procedures
(including lesion localizations, guided core biopsies and fine needle
and cyst aspirations).
This section performs more than __ mammograms annually. This includes a well-established screening program.
Musculoskeletal Clinical Fellowship
Program Director: Rebecca Loredo, M.D.
The
Musculoskeletal radiology section protocols, and interprets a spectrum
of imaging tests for the bone, joint, and soft tissues disorders in the
extremities.
This fellowship is directed towards clinical activities to enhance the fellows knowledge of the musculoskeletal system. The fellowship includes pediatric musculoskeletal imaging, arthrography, CT scanning, and MR as related to the musculoskeletal system.
Vascular Interventional Clinical Fellowship
Program Director: Darren Postoak, M.D.
This
program is designed to allow the fellow to receive exposure to all aspects
of interventional radiology in both vascular and non-vascular procedures.
The majority of the training comes from active clinical practice. The
remainder is provided by didactic lectures and conferences.
Fellows are encouraged to participate in research in a clinical or basic science level. Dr. Julio Palmaz is available to assist with basic science research. The Vascular Interventional faculty are involved in national research protocols and are primary investigators on multiple studies. Fellows are encouraged to publish a scientific paper or present a paper at a national meeting during the one-year fellowship.
