Abdominal imaging Radiologist (1-27-17)
The Department of Radiology in the School of Medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio is seeking a board certified radiologist with fellowship training (clinical/research) in Abdominal Imaging for a faculty position, at the Associate Professor rank or above to function as the Abdominal Section Division Chief, to provide clinical services at University Health System, and other locations within our practice plan and partner hospitals. Our hospitals are regional referral centers for trauma, internal medicine, surgery, oncology, and organ transplantation.

Candidate must have a medical degree, Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology, Fellowship training in Abdominal Imaging, Texas State Medical License or be eligible for a Texas Medical License prior to start date.  Applicant should be competent in all aspects of abdominal imaging and intervention and be able to perform all modalities of abdominal imaging including diagnostic fluoroscopy, ultrasound, computed tomography magnetic resonance imaging as well as non-vascular, image guided interventional procedures. Duties include teaching medical students and supervising residents and fellows; participating in research and teaching conferences; and providing clinical care to patients.  Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications.  All faculty appointments are designated as security sensitive positions.  Desired Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of clinical practice, experience in an academic environment, previous leadership experience.

Breast Imaging Radiologist (2-14-17)
The Department of Radiology, School of Medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio is merging with MD Anderson and is now seeking a board certified/board eligible radiologist for a faculty position, at the Assistant Professor to Professor Rank. Due to expansions and new opportunities we need another Breast Imaging Radiologist to provide clinical services at University Health System, UTM  and other locations within our practice plan and partner hospitals.  Our hospitals are regional referral centers for Level 1 trauma, internal medicine, surgery, oncology, and organ transplantation.

Candidates must have a medical degree, Board Certification/Board Eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology, have a Texas State Medical License prior to start date, and must have completed fellowship training in Breast Imaging.  Applicants with prior clinical experience with all current imaging modalities and an established record in academics including teaching and research experience are preferred. Duties include teaching medical students and supervising residents and fellows; participating in research and teaching conferences; and providing clinical care to patients.  Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications.  All faculty appointments are designated as security sensitive positions.

Cardiothoracic Radiologist (1-27-17)
The Department of Radiology, School of Medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio is seeking a board certified/board eligible cardiothoracic radiologist for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor to Professor Rank. This position will provide clinical services at University Health System, Medical Arts and Research Center and other locations within our practice plan and partner hospitals in San Antonio, Texas.  Our hospitals are regional referral centers for Level 1 trauma, internal medicine, surgery, oncology, and organ transplantation.

Candidates must have a medical degree, Board Certification/Board Eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology, Texas State Medical License or be eligible for a Texas Medical License, and completed fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Imaging. Applicants with prior clinical experience with all current imaging modalities and an established record in academics including teaching and research experience are preferred.  The department has a strong clinical practice in both chest and cardiac radiology (CT and MR). Duties include teaching medical students and supervising residents and fellows; participating in research and teaching conferences; and providing clinical care to patients.  Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications.

Musculoskeletal Radiologist (1-27-17)

Applicants should be competent in all aspects of diagnostic radiology to include musculoskeletal image-guided procedures. Nuclear Medicine (1-27-17)
The Department of Radiology in the School of Medicine at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio is seeking a Nuclear Medicine physician to join our growing program. This will be a full time faculty position at Asst. Professor to Professor Rank.  The faculty member will provide clinical services at University Health System, UT Medicine and affiliated facilities. Additional duties include, but not limited to, teaching medical students and supervising residents & fellows.  Candidates should preferably be Authorized Users and familiar with Nuclear Medicine therapies. A proven record of accomplishment in education and research are desired. Our hospital and clinics are regional referral centers for oncology, surgery, general medicine, organ transplantation and trauma and our facilities shall be equipped with state of the art PET/CT and SPECT/CT scanners. Pediatric Radiologist (1-27-17)
The Department of Radiology in the School of Medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio is seeking a board certified Pediatric Radiologist for a part time faculty position.  You will be providing clinical services at University Hospital and UT Medicine facilities.
The candidate must be board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology, Fellowship trained in Pediatric Radiology, have ABR CAQ in Pediatrics, have a proven track record in research, possess an MD or DO and must have or be able to obtain a Texas Medical License prior to start date

Vascular Interventional Radiologist (2-14-17)
The Department of Radiology in the School of Medicine at the University of Texas Health at San Antonio seeks a Board Certified interventional radiologist for a faculty position at Assistant Professor to Professor Rank. This position will provide clinical services at University Health System, UT Health and the affiliated partners. The candidate must have expertise in vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures, preferably with experience in neuro-interventional procedures, and a proven record of accomplishment in education and research. The section performs a full range of vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures including peripheral arterial stents,  TIPS procedures, arterial and venous revascularization techniques, pediatric interventions, percutaneous biliary and renal procedures,  embolizations for pelvic, splenic, and other traumatic organ injuries.  Rank & Salary are commensurate with experience and qualifications.  Required:  MD or DO, Accredited Diagnostic Radiology Residency, Fellowship trained in Interventional Radiology, Board Certified/Eligible, must have or be able to obtain a Texas State Medical License prior to start date.
