2018-19 Fellowships (1-17-17)
The Department of Radiology in the School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio is seeking a board certified radiologist with fellowship training (clinical/research) in Abdominal Imaging for a faculty position, at the Associate Professor rank or above to function as the Abdominal Section Division Chief, to provide clinical services at University Health System, and other locations within our practice plan and partner hospitals. Our hospitals are regional referral centers for trauma, internal medicine, surgery, oncology, and organ transplantation.

Candidate must have a medical degree, Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology, Fellowship training in Abdominal Imaging, Texas State Medical License or be eligible for a Texas Medical License prior to start date.  Applicant should be competent in all aspects of abdominal imaging and intervention and be able to perform all modalities of abdominal imaging including diagnostic fluoroscopy, ultrasound, computed tomography magnetic resonance imaging as well as non-vascular, image guided interventional procedures. Duties include teaching medical students and supervising residents and fellows; participating in research and teaching conferences; and providing clinical care to patients.  Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications.  All faculty appointments are designated as security sensitive positions.  Desired Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of clinical practice, experience in an academic environment, previous leadership experience.

Breast Imaging Radiologist (2-14-17)
The Department of Radiology, School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio is merging with MD Anderson and is now seeking a board certified/board eligible radiologist for a faculty position, at the Assistant Professor to Professor Rank. Due to expansions and new opportunities we need another Breast Imaging Radiologist to provide clinical services at University Health System, UTM  and other locations within our practice plan and partner hospitals.  Our hospitals are regional referral centers for Level 1 trauma, internal medicine, surgery, oncology, and organ transplantation.

Candidates must have a medical degree, Board Certification/Board Eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology, have a Texas State Medical License prior to start date, and must have completed fellowship training in Breast Imaging.  Applicants with prior clinical experience with all current imaging modalities and an established record in academics including teaching and research experience are preferred. Duties include teaching medical students and supervising residents and fellows; participating in research and teaching conferences; and providing clinical care to patients.  Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications.  All faculty appointments are designated as security sensitive positions.

Cardiothoracic Radiologist (1-27-17)
The Department of Radiology, School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio is seeking a board certified/board eligible cardiothoracic radiologist for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor to Professor Rank. This position will provide clinical services at University Health System, Medical Arts and Research Center and other locations within our practice plan and partner hospitals in San Antonio, Texas.  Our hospitals are regional referral centers for Level 1 trauma, internal medicine, surgery, oncology, and organ transplantation.

Candidates must have a medical degree, Board Certification/Board Eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology, Texas State Medical License or be eligible for a Texas Medical License, and completed fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Imaging. Applicants with prior clinical experience with all current imaging modalities and an established record in academics including teaching and research experience are preferred.  The department has a strong clinical practice in both chest and cardiac radiology (CT and MR). Duties include teaching medical students and supervising residents and fellows; participating in research and teaching conferences; and providing clinical care to patients.  Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications.

Musculoskeletal Radiologist (1-27-17)
The Department of Radiology in the School of Medicine UT Health San Antonio is seeking a board certified/board eligible Musculoskeletal radiologist for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor to Professor rank.  You will be providing clinical services at University Hospital, Medical Arts and Research Center, UT Health Hill Country and other affiliated facilities.  Candidate must be fellowship trained in MSK, have a proven track record in radiology, research, possess an M.D. or D.O, and either have or be able to obtain a Texas State Medical License prior to start date. Applicants should be competent in all aspects of diagnostic radiology to include musculoskeletal image-guided procedures. Physician’s Assistant (Interventional Radiology Section) (5-15-17)
The Department of Radiology in the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio seek a PA in the Vascular Interventional Radiology Division. This position will be responsible for taking care of the VIR Consult Services at University Health System, UT Health and approved facilities, and help with bedside and other basic procedures under the IR faculty supervision. This is a full time position requiring radiology background with preferred experience in Vascular Interventional Radiology.  Must pass background check, have a current Texas License or be able to obtain one.
